Reedy Creek/Headquarters (JRPS)
There are three entrances off of Riverside Drive for this section of the James River Park System. The 42nd Street entrance has parking for 30 cars, though it is often blocked. There is a trail along a river channel and river access over several small islands. The park system’s headquarters is located at the nearby Reedy Creek takeout with parking for 15-20 cars. The 22nd Street parking lot has spaces for about 45 cars, but is often closed. There is a mountain bike trail that links the main trail by the headquarters to the Buttermilk Trail on the hillside above.
