City to dedicate Reedy Creek access

The City of Richmond’s ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new Reedy Creek access has been set for 10 a.m. Friday, March 23.Nathan Burrell working on Reedy Creek takeoutDominion Virginia donated funding and supplied workers to kick off the ramp construction, which was led by the James River Park’s Nathan Burrell and his crew.

The James River Outdoor Coalition also helped fund and supply volunteers for the construction of the ramp.  They will be holding a final work project Sunday March 18 from 2-4 p.m. If you are a paddler and use that takeout, consider volunteering or going to the dedication to show your support.
