River plan can uplift city

By Phil Riggan | February, 19, 2012

Tom Silvestri of the Richmond Times-Dispatch had a commentary in today’s Sunday edition about the Richmond Riverfront Plan. There is a meeting Tuesday at City Hall to go over the plan, and I will be there to cover it for Richmond.com.

On Tuesday, February 21, the City Planning Commission will hear a presentation to provide them with an update on the Richmond Riverfront Plan. The meeting will begin at 1:30pm in the Fifth Floor Conference Room in City Hall, 900 East Broad Street, Richmond, Virginia. The Planning Commission is not being asked to take any action at this meeting.

City staff are currently reviewing a draft of the Richmond Riverfront Plan document. The Mayor will be afforded an opportunity to review the draft, after which, staff will schedule review of the document by the Planning Commission, along with a public hearing before the Commission following a period of public comment.
